BRUNSDEN Associates is toasted by legions of satisfied home and business owners as the estate agency where everybody knows your name, details of your property, your ideal new location – everything that has made this family-owned business the first choice for so many.
Founded by Peter and Jo Brunsden, the estate agency is celebrating its 10th year in business.  Based in the idyllic village of East End, just south of Newbury, as its motto attests, it is more than your average high street agent.
Peter Brunsden explained that being away from the high street has never been an issue: “In many respects office location is not that important. The internet is a great leveller; we are on primelocation.com and rightmove.co.uk along with our own website, and with so many people who want to move in this area relying upon the web over any other media, our properties are always immediately available.
“We are competitive on fees too, but what truly differentiates us from our high street counterparts is our approach to customer service. Everyone on the team here is familiar with each and every client, whether someone is selling, buying or renting a home, commercial premises or searching or developing a building plot. This is where we excel and why we have clients who have been with us since the beginning, buying and selling houses with us.
“We also have quite a few clients for whom we have not only found a home, but commercial premises and investment properties for rental too.”
Jo Brunsden added: “We have a well-earned reputation for selling unique properties; although in reality we sell across the spectrum, and are just as likely to be selling a studio flat as a character cottage or a £1million plus home.”
No matter what the property, honesty has been fundamental in establishing Brunsden Associates’ reputation, as negotiator Diana Sketchley explained: “We are always honest with people and especially with valuations. Sometimes people unfamiliar with our reputation will go with a higher valuation; however we often see these properties still on the market months later and lowering their prices to our original valuation figure. An accurate price is much more likely to lead to a quick sale and builds the trust that clients deserve.”
